Kauai’omanokalanipō, yesterday 400 kiaʻi o ke kai answered the kahea and gathered in Hanalei Bay to send our mana to Mauna a Wakea. In uniting mauka to makai, we demonstrated that kapu aloha is more than a term, it’s a way of life, and it begins in ourselves and in our communities. Even if you can’t make it to the mauna, your leo and your presence matters. From Hanalei to Hilo, it’s going to take our collective unity to reclaim our sacred spaces.
